Influencer outreach email templates

The first message to a creator, for each kind of deal: a paid post, an affiliate program, an ambassador program or UGC. Each says what you’re offering up front, because creators answer offers, not compliments.

What every first message needs

  • One specific video of theirs. Name it, and say what you liked about it. It proves you watched, and it’s the line creators check first.
  • The offer, in numbers. A fee, a commission rate, a free product with its value. “Let’s collaborate” with no offer gets ignored.
  • What you’d want from them. One Reel, a TikTok, three UGC videos. Keep it short; the brief comes later.
  • An easy yes. One question they can answer in a line: their rate, their address, or whether they’re interested.
Paid post
Subject: Paid post for [Brand]: [product]

Hi [first name],

Your video on [topic / video title] is the best [thing they explained] I’ve seen. That’s why I’m writing.

I’m [your name] from [Brand]. We make [product, one line]. We’d like to pay you for [one TikTok / one Reel] about it, in your own words, posted [in the next 2–3 weeks / around date].

We’re thinking [fee] plus the product. If you have a rate card, send it over and we’ll see what works.

2. Affiliate program

Affiliate program
Subject: [x]% on every sale you send to [Brand]

Hi [first name],

I saw your video on [topic] and how many of your followers asked where to buy [thing]. I think [product] would fit your channel.

We run an affiliate program: you get your own link and a code that gives your followers [y]% off, and you earn [x]% of every sale from them, paid [monthly]. There’s nothing to sign up for elsewhere: you apply here, and we’ll send you a product to try first.

3. Ambassador program

Ambassador program
Subject: Would you be a [Brand] ambassador?

Hi [first name],

You’ve posted [product / our brand] [twice] without us asking, which means a lot. Thank you.

We’re starting a small ambassador program for people who already use us. It means: new products before anyone else, [x]% commission on sales from your code, and [a monthly fee of / a product allowance of] [amount] for [one post a month].

No long contract: it runs month to month, and you can stop any time.

Would you like the details?

4. UGC videos

UGC request
Subject: UGC for [Brand]: [number] videos

Hi [first name],

I liked how you showed [product type] in [video]: clear, quick, and no hard sell. That’s what we need for our ads.

We’d like [number] videos of [product], [length] each, with [number] different hooks. You don’t need to post them. Budget: [amount] for the videos and [period] of use in our ads, plus the product.

If that works, I’ll send the brief and a short agreement.

5. DM version (any deal)

DM
Hi [first name]! [Your name] from [Brand] here. Loved your [video about topic]. We’d like to [pay you for a post / send you [product] / invite you to our affiliate program at [x]%]. Can I email you the details? What’s the best address?

6. One follow-up

Follow-up
Subject: Re: [original subject]

Hi [first name], just checking this reached you. If it isn’t a fit right now, no problem at all; a quick “not now” helps us too.

[Your name]

Send one follow-up after five to seven days, then stop. For a gift, the whole sequence (address request, shipped, arrived, the follow-up when nothing is posted, thanks) is in the gifting email templates.

Where to find their email

Most creators who want brand deals put an email in their bio, or a business contact button on Instagram and TikTok. If there isn’t one, the DM above asks for it. Don’t buy email lists: creators rarely answer messages from brands they’ve never heard of at an address they didn’t share.

Pozto helps you find creators by what their videos are about, checks one before you reach out, and then watches for the posts they make about you, tagged or not. Once a creator is on your list, it looks for an email in their public bio. Start free with up to 10 creators.

Questions

How do you write an outreach email to an influencer?

Name one of their videos and why it fits, say what you’re offering in numbers, say what you’d want from them, and end with one easy question. Keep it under 120 words.

Should I email or DM influencers?

Email if their bio has an address: it’s where creators handle deals. DM when there isn’t one, and use it to ask for their email.

How many times should I follow up?

Once, five to seven days later. After that, move on; they’ve seen it.
